Labour Minister Visits Samut Prakan Business: An AI-Based Manufacturer Supporting Digital Employment, in Line With the Upskill and Reskill Policy for 5 Million Workers in 2025

          On January 22, 2025, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, paid a visit to Jinpao Precision Industry Co., Ltd. to inspect and listen to a presentation of product information, processes and employment policies. Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Somchai Maruksriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the visit. On this occasion, Mr. Guo Song Chong, Chairman of the Board of Directors, executives and employees of Jinpao Precision Industry Co., Ltd., Mr. Suphamit Chinsri, Governor of Samut Prakan Province, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Samut Prakan Province joined in the welcome at Jinpao Precision Industry Co., Ltd., Phraeksa Sub-district, Mueang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan Province.
          Mr. Phiphat said that today, he and the Permanent Secretary of Labour, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives paid a visit to Jinpao Precision Industry Co., Ltd. This year, in 2025, the government led by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has instructed the Ministry of Labour to upskill those who are about to enter the workforce, to equip them with knowledge and skills relevant to innovative technologies such as AI, robots, and semiconductors. This company has fully utilized such technologies, but at the same time, it also uses workers to develop people along with technology.
          “In line with the policy of the past year, the Ministry of Labour, through the Department of Skill Development, has organized seminars to upskill and reskill workers together with business organizations, with the goal of reaching 5 million people. In 2025, the Ministry of Labour aims to train over 5 million people, which will require working alongside business operators to produce workers and support employment in the digital age. The company that we visited today showcases the company’s application of AI and robotic technology in the production process. It also accepts students for internships. Therefore, I would like to transfer these innovative technologies to Thai workers, especially the new generation of workers who will enter the workforce,” said Mr. Phiphat.
          Mr. Phiphat and his team then visited the company’s product booths and project activities, preliminary diagnosis products to reduce medical procedures, project activities to promote and develop the working skills of interns and employees, and visited the work area of Myanmar workers, which is an aircraft parts factory.
          Jinpao Precision Industry Co., Ltd. is a business that manufactures product parts from aluminum, metal, steel, and electronic parts. It currently has 1,450 employees. This business has legally hired 116 Myanmar workers and takes good care of employee welfare. The company’s products include aircraft parts, food production machinery, and communication enclosures, for example.
