Labour Minister Visits Saudi Arabia’s Health Command Center Promoting Health Services for Insured Persons

          On March 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, the Minister’s Advisor Sergeant Ekayossingh Liamlert, the Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathian, and Charge d’affaires in Riyadh, Mr. Sathon Kasemsan Na Ayudhya, paid a courtesy call and discussed official matters to strengthen labour cooperation. They also observed Saudi Arabia’s health service system with Mr. Fahad bin Abderahman Al Jalajel, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health. The occasion took place at the Seha vitual Hospital and the National Health Command Center, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health.
          Mr. Suchart said that he and his team were delighted and thanked Saudi Arabia’s Health Minister for giving them a warm welcome and taking the group to visit the center. They also exchange information, which will greatly benefit from bringing modern technology and innovation to care for and serve patients. The efforts will reduce congestion in hospitals, provide fast and modern services, and enable patients to have access to services equally and thoroughly. This will result in better efficiency and quality of service. The Ministry of Labour has hospitals in the social security network that provides health care services for insured persons. This system will be able to greatly improve service efficiency.
          Saudi Arabia’s Health Minister, Mr. Fahad bin Abderahman Al Jalajel, said that he was pleased to have the opportunity to welcome the Labour Minister and the delegation of Thai officials on their visit to Saudi Arabia and the public health center. This will lead to cooperation in labour and public health between the two countries. Now, Saudi Arabia has sent officials to attend a meeting to discuss preparations with the Thai Ministry of Public Health to exchange information and further strengthen such cooperation.
