Labour Minister Visits Yala on Labour Groups

            Today (30 March 2017), Labour Minister General Sirichai Ditakul chaired the meeting to follow up progress on labour operations in alignment with government policy. The Labour Minister also acknowledged obstacles and suggestions from the private sector and relevant units at the Southern Police Operation Center in Yala. He explained that for the 5 Southern provinces, the Ministry of Labour has arranged for labour groups to initiate local plans in for the implementation of the “Stability, Prosperity and Sustainability Triangle Project”. The focus will particularly look at professional development to promote incoming investment.

 


            The Labour Minister then presented guidelines to leaders of affiliated units in the 5 Southern provinces, advising the officers to uphold King Rama 9 royal teachings and principles are working guidelines. He also asked that the provincial level work as a labour team, and at the local level as a labour group, aligning with the larger ministerial plan for a labour community. The Labour Minister advised for a survey on labour demands from all sectors to help plan for workforce development in correspondence with true market needs.
            In the afternoon, the Labour Minister and committee visited raw latex trading companies, the immigration check point at Batong and the MOL Counter Service in Batong, Yala.
