On 8 March 2017 at 09.30 hours, Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul welcomed Canadian Ambassador to Thailand H.E.Ms. Donica Pottie on courtesy call at the Minister’s Lounge at the Ministry of Labour. The two parties met to discuss collaboration with Canada on promoting Thai workers to work in Canada legally. During 2013 to 2017, a total of 2,808 Thai workers were in Thailand, mostly in culinary, kitchen, welding, painting, technical professions and in positions relevant to the seafood industry.
