Labour Minister’s Advisor Presents Nursing Mother’s Room in the Workplace Signage to Support Female Employees to Breastfeed for Good Immunity

          On August 30, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to preside over the signing ceremony for participants in the project to establish nursing mother’s rooms and equipment for milk storage. The occasion took place at Magnolia Home Furnishing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., located at 99/9 Moo 3, Nong Chumphon Nuea Subdistrict, Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province. The company’s management and the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province gave a welcome.
          Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the Ministry of Labour appreciates and is very pleased that Magnolia Home Furnishing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recognizes the importance and benefits of welfare provision to improve the quality of life of female workers. The company established nursing mothers’ rooms in the workplace so employees and the public could use the service. It sees the importance of raising a child with breast milk which will enable the child to develop good immunity and save a lot of household expenses.
          Magnolia Home Furnishing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is in the business of exporting kitchen furniture. There are 929 employees, comprising 529 males and 400 females. The company started participating in the project to establish nursing mothers’ rooms in the workplace on July 19, 2022.
