On January 9, 2014, Mrs Ratiwan Sonntara, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affair), Ms. Sadudee Kittisuwan, Counsellor (Labour Affair) and officails of the Office of Labour Affairs in Taipei attended a meeting to prepare for an advance voting at the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Kusuma Tarasook, Deputy Executive Ditector of the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei.

The advance vote for Thai people living in Taiwan was set to be held between January 13-19, 2014. A total of 8,560 were registered to cast their vote in the advance poll. The Office of Labour Affairs in Taipei and the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei worked togather in encouraging Thai people to join the poll.
