On August 11, 2013, Mrs. Wannaporn Chu-amnaj, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs) presided over a candle lighting ceremony to mark Thailand’s National Mother’s Day. The ceremony took place at Wat Puttarangsri Temple in Bongdam district, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province. At the event, there were also merit-making activities, robe offering, hair-cut service, a bank service by KEB bank (opening an account), a health-check service by Dongtan City Hospital, a health coulselling service, mobile labour activities by the Royal Thai Embassy’ Labour Section in Seoul, a soccer competition, and prize-giving ceremony for 2013 outstanding women. Some 400 people joined the event. They paid respect to Her Majesty Queen’s Sirikit, signed a well-wishing book and sang “Suduee Maharadscha” song.
