H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor welcomed H.E. Mr. ITH Samheng, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training The Ministry of Labor, 6th Floor, Ministry of Labor (today 22 December 60), disclosed after the discussion. The discussion was on cooperation in accelerating the verification of Cambodian workers’ nationality. The Cambodian government is proposing to extend the period of nationality verification for another 6 months to be consistent with the number of workers who have not yet been naturalized. Ministry of Labor of Thailand has to carry out verification of citizenship in a province with a large number of Cambodian workers. H.E. Mr. ITH Samheng also requested the Ministry of Labor to certify the skills of Cambodian workers who have worked in Thailand.
“Proof of nationality of migrant workers is an important policy of the government. It will integrate with the Cambodian authorities to solve the problem and put the system together. In order to be able to carry out correctly, promptly and successfully, it will be beneficial to both countries. Foreign workers coming from Cambodia will be protected, not being exploited by employers, and have good social welfare. This is a real benefit to labor, ” said H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingke.
