On December 22, 2024, at 09.00 hours, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, assigned Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, to chair the “Ministry of Labour’s Big Cleaning Day.” The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-Generals, Ms. Bunyawee Khaipan, and Mr. Pichet Thongphan, together with the Ministry of Labour’s executives, civil servants, officials, housekeepers, and security guards, participated in the activity at the Ministry of Labour’s building. Over 400 people participated.
Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, said that he was pleased and honoured to be assigned to chair the “Ministry of Labour’s Big Cleaning Day” activity today. He said that currently, environmental concerns are caused by several factors, including pollution and garbage. Therefore, maintaining cleanliness regularly is important to help reduce such problems. The Ministry of Labour realizes the importance of well-being in the organization in order for personnel to have a good working environment that is orderly, clean, and safe. Therefore, today they organized the “Ministry of Labour’s Big Cleaning Day”, with the objective of maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, promoting teamwork in the organization, strengthening discipline in maintaining cleanliness, and creating a safe workplace, in line with the Ministry of Labour’s policy on creating a safety culture. A positive workplace environment also promotes good mental health and increases the overall efficiency of the Ministry of Labour’s personnel.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour continued that today’s event received cooperation from executives, civil servants, and officials from all units under the Ministry of Labour, as well as housekeepers and security guards. Over 400 people came together to clean, collect waste, and clean both inside and outside the building, to improve the environment around the Ministry of Labour, making it clean and tidy, ready to serve the people. He thanked the civil servants and personnel of the Ministry of Labour from all units who organized the Big Cleaning Day and thanked the Bangkok Administration for supporting the high-pressure water truck and officers to facilitate the activity, which allowed the personnel to work together to clean the area inside and around the building to be tidy for this year’s New Year’s Eve festival.
