Ministry of Labour Prepares for Computer Crime Act B.E. 2560

Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Anurak Tossarat, chaired the seminar on preparation to support the Computer Crime Act B.E 2560 (2nd issue) and to promote technological efficiency within the Ministry of Labour. The seminar to place today (2 February 2017) at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram conference room. In his speech he said, “Today’s seminar will promote awareness on using new technologies towards a Thailand 4.0, as technology is constantly changing. From this seminar, you will gain insight on information such as offenses and penalties, authority of officials, management’s key responsibilities, computer misuse, disclosure of inappropriate content, criteria for the storage of data held by management, prevention of computer crimes and understanding of the new Computer Crime Act B.E 2560 (2nd issue). This will enable you to prepare for you and understand how to prevent violation soft the act. The seminar will also promote technological and communicational efficiency within the Ministry of Labour. Everyone here should know the laws and share this with the people around them.”

 

 

 
          The seminar was organized with the intent to boost understanding and prepare for enforcement of the Computer Crime Act B.E 2560 (2nd issue), and create awareness of the benefits of technology and learn methods of preventing technological misuse. In addition to this, the seminar was organized to create understanding, skills and provide an opportunity to exchange information and knowledge to be used in prevention violations to the Computer Crime Act B.E 2560 (2nd issue), and to promote technological skills within the Ministry of Labour. Team building activities were also carried out at the event which had a total of 320 participants. Attendees comprised officers and officials from all of the Ministry of Labour’s affiliated units, technical staff from all ministries as well as data users. The seminar will be conducted 3 days, from 2 to 4 February 2016.
