Ministry of Labour Trains for Outstanding Leaders

             Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti chaired the commencement of the training curriculum for the second batch of senior labour executives. The curriculum was designed to enhance leadership among high-level executives who have a vision, capabilities and management skills to drive organizational strategies and success. The training was also aimed to create a working network and teamwork, as well as modern leaders prepared to face all situation.

 

 

 


           
           The training participants made action plans to support the government’s 10 missions comprising: preparing the Thai workforce for the 21st century, creating innovation-driven enterprises, developing the agricultural and services industry, promoting strength through 18 provincial groups and 26 provinces, connecting Thailand and the global community, laying physical structural foundations, creating a network foundation, intellectual foundation and social foundation, and devising management mechanisms. She said that the Ministry of Labour would need to be directly involved in preparing the Thai workforce in terms of technological know-how and ideology, as well as social foundations, which would also require collaboration from other sectors and agencies.
           The training comprised 8 subjects including: developing the roles of labour executives, improving the national and international vision, creating a leading network for development, creating organizational leaders, effective human resource development, workforce changes for Thailand 4.0, integrative reformation and an additional course on English language skills and meditation. A total of 50 people will attend the training from 6 March to 11 April 2017.
