MOL Advises Channels for Information on Foreign Workers

            The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and spokesperson Mr. Ananchai Uthaipatanacheep, spoke about Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul’s close monitor on labour issues, whereby giving particular importance to the preparation of officials in providing accurate information and facilitating employment services for foreign workers. The Ministry of Labour has also increased communication channels to employers, employees, organizations, the private sector and other relevant agencies in order to adhere to the Foreign Worker Management Royal Decree B.E. 2560. In addition to gaining information from the Bangkok Employment Office Area 1-10, all provincial employment offices, the 1694 hotline and the www.doe.go.th website, employers can also visit the ministry’s public relations office on the first floor of the ministry’s building or call 0 2232 1467 during government working hours.
    Mr. Ananchai continued that the Ministry of Labour was open in listening to suggestions from all sectors. He said that the Department of Employment will schedule the seminar on “Foreign Worker Management Royal Decree B.E. 2560 – the benefits to Thais”, this 5th of July at 09.00-12.00 at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram conference room. Director-General Mr. Waranont Pitiwan, representatives from NGOs, Board of Trade of Thailand, Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Bankers’ Association and university academics. The public is invited to the event at the given date and time.
