MOL Board of Skills Development Meets for No. 4/2022

            On July 25, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the Board of Skills Development Meeting No. 4/2022. The Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, including relevant civil servants and officials, attended the meeting, which took place at the Somchat Lekalawan Meeting Room, 10th floor, Department of Skill Development, and through a remote conferencing system. The meeting acknowledged the report on the approval of grants or subsidies following the Skills Development Promotion Act B.E. 2545, the reports on the results of loans and loan payments from the Skill Development Fund, and the report on the results of the promotion of skill development in organizations according to the Labour Skills Development Promotion Act B.E. 2545 and its amendments (No. 2), B.E. 2557.

          In addition, the meeting considered the request for approval to amend the order of the Labour Skill Development Promotion Committee on the appointment of the National Skill Subcommittee for the occupation group of mechanical engineers and truck drivers, improvement of the Committee’s order for the promotion of skill development on appointing a National Skill Subcommittee on the determination of national skill standards in electrical engineering, electronics and computers, household and small commerce air conditioning technicians, and the application for labour skill standard certification under Section 26 of the Skills Development Promotion Act B.E. 2545. The meeting also considered the extension of time for the use of the zero percent interest following the notification of the Labour Skill Development Promotion Board on the determination of loan limits and reimbursements of the Skill Development Fund, including the request for approval for the projection of income and expenditure from the Skill Development Fund for the 2023 – 2026 fiscal year, and the operational plan for the 2023 fiscal year.
