On November 17, 2021, at 08.45 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud chaired the workshop to prepare an action plan on the management of informal workers for 2023 – 2027 at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram Conference Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour Building. The meeting was held to serve as a framework for driving the implementation of the promotion, protection, and development of informal workers. The key items to determine the direction on implementing three strategies were: 1) Strengthening social security and expanding coverage. 2) Strengthening the potential of informal workers for work. 3) Enhancing the management capacity of informal workers. The ministry was honoured by Prof. Dr. Supachai Srisuchart, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, who joined as a speaker. Attendees included representatives of government agencies and civil society. The meeting will take place from November 17 to 18, 2021.
