MOL Commences Training Program for Moral and Transparency Assessment Development in Operations

          On February 15, 2021, at 08.45 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the training program for moral and transparency assessment development in the Ministry of Labour’s operations to raise the Corruption Perception Index using guidelines and assessment tools as specified by the NACC Office. The NACC has designed and developed information technology systems (online format) to support the assessment of morality and transparency for government agencies (ITAS system) to make the assessment more efficient. The meeting took place at the Jompol P. Phibulsongkram Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The objective is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of government officials and staff under the Ministry of Labour, perform work following the ITA assessment guidelines, and take suggestions from the evaluation results to continually improve and enhance governance and governmental management of the Ministry of Labour. The effort also aims to raise awareness on the prevention and suppression of corruption in organizations that have participated in the training, consisting of 75 government officials and officers under the Ministry of Labour.
          The Permanent Secretary of Labour said that the NACC had increased the intensity (ITA assessments) every year. He said he took the assessments very seriously and urged everyone to work together to ensure the coming years’ assessment results meet the specified goals. He asked relevant agencies to adopt the organizational development approach according to the ITA assessment guidelines to develop and drive the Ministry of Labour to have the same standards, be accepted, and facilitate civil services. The efforts will result in the Ministry of Labour’s reputation of operating with morality and transparency.
