Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul presided over the meeting of the one-stop-service center subcommittee on labour, public health and defense for the first time this year, which took place at the Department of Employment. The meeting consulted the connection of information from government databases between the Immigration Office, the Ministry of Public Health and the Department of Employment in 10 provinces with Special Economic Zones. Information includes finger prints, people using border passes and frequency of the immigration points collecting data in real time. The meeting’s chairperson spoke about the citizenship verification process for Burmese, Cambodian and Laotian nationals which has been delayed, and that all units have been assigned to take a proactive approach in order to complete tasks within the given timeframe.
