On November 9, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to preside over the ” Developing Entrepreneurial Potential ” training course’s opening ceremony under the project to increase labour productivity among SMEs 4.0 for the 2022 fiscal year. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, together with the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province, also participated in this occasion at the Si Sai 1 room, 3rd floor, Long Beach Cha-Am Hotel, Cha-Am District, Phetchaburi Province. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the COVID-19 situation had caused changes in many areas such as production, consumption, and services. The government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour and Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, gives great importance to the SMEs business sector, which is an important cog in driving the country’s economy in all dimensions.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that today, the Phetchaburi Skill Development Office conducted training to develop entrepreneurs’ potential. It is a useful course to develop SMEs in every aspect, to increase competitiveness, and push for creative initiatives creating opportunities to open up new markets for businesses, especially the tourism and service sectors that are recovering from the COVID-19 impact. This project will help pay wages for employers with Thai employees at 3,000 Baht per person for three months. There are 1,973 SME establishments with 15,667 employees. The Phetchaburi Skill Development Office organized the project. The objective is to increase the competitiveness of SME entrepreneurs, OTOP groups, and community enterprises by enhancing labour productivity. It aims to drive creativity and innovation through technology to support the development of SMEs 4.0. There are three project activities, namely training courses to develop entrepreneurial skills, consulting to increase labour productivity for enterprises, and the development of labour potential to increase labour productivity.
