On March 9, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin contributed necessities and consumables to the Phra Rach Wisutprachanat (Chao Khun Alongkot), Abbot of Wat Phrabatnampu in Lopburi, to help the sick and the poor in society through the “compassion for the world” project by the Thammarak Foundation. The occasion took place at the foyer on the 1st floor, Ministry of Labour building. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives, civil servants, and officials also joined the occasion.
Mr. Suchart said that the Ministry of Labour had foreseen the importance of helping fellow human beings according to the objectives of Wat Phrabatnampu by the Thammarak Foundation and the “compassion for the world” project. Today, he joined executives, civil servants, and officials, contributing consumer goods and necessary items for Phra Rach Wisutprachanat (Chao Khun Alongkot), Abbot of Wat Phrabatnampu. The contributions included rice, mobile sanitary ware, masks, alcohol gel, toilet paper, canned fish, baby milk powder, instant noodles, Vitamin C drinks, baby diapers, drinking water, and rubber gloves. The foods were donated through the “compassion for the world” project by the Thammarak Foundation, following the Volunteer Thailand project policy, which is used to manage the care of HIV patients, orphans, abandoned elderly people, and the poor in society, to receive assistance and develop a better quality of life.
For the donation of items to help the sick and needy in society, Chao Khun Alongkot and his team also have a project under the brand “Natha” which is a herbal product of Luang Por. The projects are sold, and the proceeds are used to continue various projects that are beneficial to every life within the temple. In addition, there is also a volunteer music project. The Ministry of Labour thanked the executives, civil servants, and officials who donated items to create merit and benefit the Thai community.
