Mr. Pairoj said that the Ministry of Labour cares for workers and the people who are currently affected by the floods. Although the water in some areas has started to recede and is returning to normal, there are still many areas that continue to be flooded, and citizens are suffering. Today, the Ministry of Labour has prepared 300 relief bags to give to the Department of Skill Development and distribute to flood victims to alleviate their suffering. Business establishments have supported all of this.
“The Ministry of Labour would like to thank all sectors for supporting the relief supplies for those affected. Today, I have given 300 relief bags to the Department of Skill Development as a way to pass on the goodwill to help those affected by the flood. In addition, I have instructed the provincial labour departments and its affiliated agencies to set up a team of officers to provide labour services to help those affected, such as repairing houses, electrical appliances, repairing motorcycles, and small agricultural engines damaged by the flood, as well as recruiting and training those affected by the flood, providing advice on labour laws, and social security benefits to help restore areas where the water has receded,” said Mr. Pairoj.
