MOL Foreign Worker Management Fund Committee Meets for No. 7/2022

         On September 26, 2022, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the Foreign Worker Management Fund Committee Meeting No. 7/2022 via video conference at the Tian Achakul Conference Room, 10th floor, Department of Employment. The Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, and related persons also attended the meeting. The meeting acknowledged the request to increase, decrease or change the items of capital expenditure from the Foreign Worker Management Fund in 2022, a report on the results of a study of a private contractor project to produce work permits and provide services for receiving requests and notifications of working foreigners, expenditure plans for private contractors to produce work permits and provide services for receiving requests and notifications of working foreigners, including a cash flow projection report.

         Additionally, the meeting jointly considered the request for an extension of the fund’s disbursement period in 2022 to disburse in the the2023 fiscal year. It also reviewed projects for the 2023 fiscal year, consisting of a contract for maintenance and repair of information and communication technology systems to manage the fund, the project to support the Fisheries Workers Coordination Center in 22 provinces, and the project of the center for the start and end of employment. It also considered the request for the allocation of funds from the fund for the 2023 fiscal year and projects for implementation following the Cabinet’s resolutions related to managing foreign workers.
