On November 29, 2021, at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong chaired the meeting of the Foreign Workers Inspection Subcommittee Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic. The meeting appointed a subcommittee and a task force to investigate and suppress the use of illegal foreign workers to control and prevent the COVID-19 outbreak, following the Cabinet’s resolution on September 28, 2021. The effort also aims to eliminate human trafficking. The meeting discussed the duration of action and target groups for investigation, suppression, arrest, and prosecution of employers/establishments and illegal foreign workers. The meeting took place at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour.
