On 5 June 2017 at 13.30, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, chaired the 2017 Anti-Human Trafficking Day under the theme “civil state working together for anti-corruption”. Efforts have been made to promote collaboration between relevant government units, the people and communities in preventing and eliminating human trafficking though raising better awareness. Over 400 participants joined the event which consisted of anti-human trafficking committees and executives from relevant units throughout the nation, and representatives from various organizations. Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul and Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti alaso joined the event which took place at the Government Houses.
