MOL Joins Discussions at the Indo-Pacific Business Summit

            On July 8, 2021, at 14.30 hours, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Pattraporn Samatrat, joined the discussion at the Indo-Pacific Business Summit under the main theme “developing guidelines to create prosperity to prosper together” through Zoom, which took place at the Prasong Rananant Conference Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. Today, the Assistant Permanent Secretary of Labour discussed the issue of skilled workers to support employment opportunities in the new world order. The meeting was organized in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India to exchange views, perspectives, business, and industry perspectives on the Indo-Pacific Ocean initiative focusing on trade and maritime connectivity. It also looked for ways to expand cooperation and partnerships for the future economic development of countries in the Indo-Pacific region. Representatives from the Ministry of Labour participated in the discussion. They expressed their views on key issues: 1) Using technology to transform the future of jobs and industry, and 2) Creating an ecosystem of workforce development and skill development that encourages participation, design, and development of strategies, projects, or activities to meet the requirements of the New World Order. Attending the meeting included representatives from various sectors such as government, trade, academia, and business associations from countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
