MOL Joins Drug Problem Resolution Coordination Committee Amid COVID-19 Meeting

          On May 6, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Bubpha Panpeng and Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mrs. Tongjai Suthat Na Ayutthaya, to attend the meeting of the Drug Problem Resolution Coordination Committee Amid COVID-19. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan chaired the meeting at the Srisamarn Meeting Room 1, Multipurpose Building, Office of the Permanent Secretary of Defense (Si Saman), Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province.
          The meeting agreed on the integration of service channels of drug treatment centers, guidelines for treatment and rehabilitation, physical and mental performance, and guidelines for the operation of the social rehabilitation center. The Ministry of Labour is the agency to support and help rehabilitate social conditions for drug addicts or those who have undergone treatment. It supports them in career and employment, following the Narcotics Code, B.E. 2021, Section 118 – Section 120. The meeting discussed the appointment of a subcommittee following the Order of the Prime Minister’s Office No. 20/2022, dated January 20, 2022. Before the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister observed the practice of the notification center (hotline) in the Sri Saman room and visited exhibitions by the Ministry of Labour, charities, and related agencies.
