MOL Joins Foreign Worker Management Fund Committee Meeting No. 4/2022

          On May 30, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the Foreign Worker Management Fund Committee Meeting No. 4/2022. The Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, and the Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, Ms. Boonwee Khuaphan, honourable and relevant persons, attended the meeting at the Tien Achakul Meeting Room, 10th floor, Department of Employment. The meeting acknowledged the report of working capital performance for the 2021 fiscal year (complete version), the request for an increase in capital expenditures for the management of foreign workers for 2022 (which does not affect the budget), permission from the Comptroller General’s Department to the Department of Employment to use the fees collected under Section 76 (4) of the Emergency Decree on the Management of Foreign Workers B.E. 2560 B.E. for additional expenses in the 2022 fiscal year, and the 2023-2031 fiscal years, including projected cash flow reports.

          In addition, it considered the request for the allocation of funds from the fund, for expenses in the fund management budget (investment budget) of the fund group, the Foreign Workers Administration Office, and for the public relations project to create awareness and understanding of policies on the management, import, prevention and protection of the rights of foreign workers by the Ministry of Labour and the government. For the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, it considered the draft long-term action plan (2023-2027) and a draft action plan for the Foreign Worker Management Service Fund for the 2023 fiscal year, including a request for the allocation of funds for the foreign worker management service of Bangkok.
