On August 29, 2022, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, chaired the Foreign Workers Management Fund Committee Meeting No. 6/2022. The meeting acknowledged the report on the performance and the result of the fund’s expenditure for the 2022 fiscal year, as of July, and the request for an increase, decrease, or change on the list of expenditures from the Foreign Workers Management Fund in 2022 (not affecting the budget limit). It also considered the establishment of the employment start and end center, the cash flow projection report, and a review of programs to prevent and address forced labour or services that may be caused by migrant labour abuses of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour. It also considered the request to adjust the operating plan and the result of the fund expenditure for the 2022 fiscal year, the request for fund allocation for the 2023 fiscal year, and projects with contractual obligations that must be disbursed from October 1, 2022, consisting of 11 projects and one service budget from the Department of Employment, and one project from the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. The Department of Employment’s Director-General, Mr. Pairoj Chotiksetian, the Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, Ms. Boonwee Khuaphan, and relevant persons joined the meeting at the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour.
