The Permanent Secretary of Labour chaired the project to support and build public participation in combating corruption with “labour eyes” to prevent and suppress the possibility of corruption in the area.
On December 17, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol presided over the opening ceremony of the project to support and create public participation in combating corruption “labour eyes” training and activities promoting the intention of “Ministry of Labour gathering networks and strength to combat corruption.” The initiative aims to create a mechanism to support government officials/officials’ participation under the Provincial Labour Office, community members, and volunteer workers. This is a network under the Ministry of Labour’s responsibility as a network of surveillance and reporting fraud to prevent and suppress the possibility of corruption in the area. Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mrs. Tongjai Suthat Na Ayutthaya gave a report at the Piman Garden Boutique Hotel, Khon Kaen.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour said that during this period, the government has tried to improve and strengthen mechanisms and measures to prevent and suppress corruption in all dimensions, in response to the 20-year national strategy. The Ministry of Labour is committed to developing cooperation and integrating work between government sectors and the public sector to encourage people and parties to work together to prevent corruption continuously.
“The training of the project “labour eyes” is a good opportunity for the Ministry of Labour in building a key mechanism to jointly drive the development of public networks across the country in public relations, surveillance, and fraud prevention. It aims to raise awareness among the local people in the separation of their interests and the common interests to raise awareness of safeguarding the national interests. It further aims to create a society that does not tolerate corruption and end corruption in Thai society,” concluded Mr. Suthi.
