MOL Joins Pure Heart Foundation to Deliver Relief Bags, Boats, and Mobile Restrooms to Help Flood Victims in Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

          On November 8, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, and the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, to visit the area to provide 20 mobile restrooms to people affected by the flood, including 200 relief bags, and four boats, consisting of 2 boats to Bang Sai Subdistrict and two boats to Bang Chani Subdistrict. The boats were donated to help flood victims in Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Honorary Chairperson of the Pure Heart Foundation Ms. Kulpornphat Wongmacharpinya, Bang Ban District Officer Mr. Somyot Ketsuwan, Bang Chani Subdistrict Officer Mr. Kanoksak Dangbai, along with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, also join the occasion. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan are concerned about the people affected by the flood situation. Therefore, he instructed all agencies to help the flood victims according to their mission. Today, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned her and the spokesperson to visit Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, together with the chairman of the Adviser of the Pure Heart Foundation, to deliver the mobile restrooms, boats, and relief bags to alleviate the suffering of the flood-affected community members. The occasion took place at the multi-purpose pavilion, Moo 3, Bang Chani Subdistrict, Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
          Mrs. Thiwalrat continued that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin shared his concern and encouragement to the workforce and community members affected by the floods. On behalf of the government, the Ministry of Labour thanks their network partners such as the Pure Heart Foundation for their support to alleviate the people’s suffering. As for the Ministry of Labour’s support measures, after the water recedes, the Department of Skill Development will prepare training courses to educate flood victims, such as courses on repairing household equipment and appliances, so that the victims can repair their household equipment or appliances that have been affected by the flood. It will help trainees have the knowledge and save costs, as they would not need to send the appliances for repair or buy a new one. It will also prepare training for small engine repair technicians in agriculture, masonry-plastering, and tiling, for example. The Provincial Employment Office will provide employment and occupational promotion services. The Provincial Labour Office will organize an urgent employment and skill development project, support compensation, and provide professional training materials for continuous income. The Provincial Labour Protection and Welfare Office will provide advice on rights under the labour protection laws. Additionally, the Provincial Social Security Office will take care of benefits for the victims according to their social security rights. It will organize a team of doctors and nurses from hospitals in the network to provide initial care services in the affected areas.
