On December 7, 2022, at 10.46 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, to join the National Climate Change Policy Committee Meeting No. 4/2022 via Zoom Cloud Meetings. Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan presided over the meeting at the Ministry of Labour’s Office of the Inspector-General, 8th Floor, Ministry of Labour.
The meeting’s agenda summarized the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) and related meetings, including improving the division of government within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to support the mission on climate change (Department of Climate Change and Environment). In this regard, the meeting approved the (draft) Fourth Biennial Update Report (BUR4) and the (draft) Memorandum of Understanding on the project to strengthen the capacity to cope with climate change in Thailand’s watershed with efficient water management and sustainable agriculture.
