The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Samat Pattamasukon, and the Ministry of Labour’s senior executives participated in the opening ceremony of the royal volunteer’s “Mother’s Day” activity on August 12, 2022. On occasion, they visited the Ministry of Labour’s agencies’ booths. The ceremony was presided over by Thanpuying Rawichit Suwanbobpha, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Public Affairs of Her Majesty the Queen, which took place at Benjakitti Park, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok.
Agencies under the Ministry of Labour included the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, the Department of Employment, the Department of Skill Development, and the Social Security Office, which organized booth activities from August 11 to 13 at the Benjakitti Park, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok. The booths were organized under the concept of “the Ministry of Labour, creating careers, income, and jobs for Thai people.” The activities included demonstrating vocational training in eight fields, including making fresh coffee, herbal drinks, Thai desserts, drawing cartoons, cupcakes, and noodles, pandanus pudding in sweet coconut, pork sago, and an 18-hour healthy Thai massage. The booths also provided professional counseling and guidance, career readiness assessments, a showcase of products from homeworker groups, information about loans from the Homeworkers Fund, applications for demonstrations and practice in freelance careers, mobile recruitment services, health check-up services, health consulting services, influenza vaccination, Covid-19 vaccination boosters, emergency assistance to patients and mobile medical units from hospitals in the social security networks, for example.
Royal courtiers, government volunteers, private sector volunteers, and volunteers in the people’s sector joined together to “continue, preserve and build” by organizing the “Mother’s Day” volunteer activities on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s birthday on August 12, 2022. The activities were organized in honour of Her Majesty’s grace. The activities were held in Bangkok and around the royal palace area, totaling eight places in Bangkok and three places in its vicinity. The locations included Benjakitti Park, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok, Saranrom Park, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Air Force Stadium (Thupatemi), Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province, and five communities surrounding the royal palace area, including the parking lot in front of Bang Pa-In Palace, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Naresuan Camp 2, Klai Kangwon Palace, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Phu Phan Ratchaniwet Palace, Phang Khwang Subdistrict, Mueang Sakon Nakhon District, Sakon Nakhon Province, at the Tha Phae Gate of Phu Phing Krachaniwet Palace, Chiang Mai Province, and around the Chalerm Phrakiat Arts and Crafts Building, Thaksin Ratchaniwet Palace, Narathiwat Province. Activities at the event included public services, such as medical services, general examination, Covid-19 ATK tests, alcohol gel and face mask distribution, dental services, and eye examinations. There was also a royal kitchen, maintenance services for electrical appliances and motorcycles, free haircuts, music performances, exhibitions in honour of His Majesty the King, basic career training, coaching, and recreational activities such as drawing and sculpting.
Therefore, the Ministry of Labor invited all public members to participate in career-building activities to provide the Thai people with jobs to generate. The “Mother’s Day” activities are held between August 11 to 13 this year at the Benjakitti Park, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok.
