The Director of the Office of Inspection and Evaluation Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Ashwin Pujachakan, reported on the objectives of the event. Bangkok labour volunteers, civil servants, and Ministry of Labour’s officials joined in giving a welcome at the meeting room on the 2nd floor, Local Museum of Bangkok, Tha Kham Subdistrict, Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok.
Mr. Decha said that he was delighted and honoured to chair the opening ceremony of the project in honour of His Majesty the King, with Bangkok labour volunteers joining in volunteering to develop their hometown. Today, we hosted a mangrove planting activity and the collection of general waste. The said project is based on the royal philosophies, aspirations, and policies regarding environmental development, which have been adapted as a conceptual framework for determining activities. It focuses on civil servants, officials, and volunteer workers in Bangkok. It is a public sector network participating in activities to create awareness of doing good deeds, offered as a royal merit to His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024. This year is considered a special auspicious year. The activities are a demonstration of loyalty, honouring the Thai monarchy, loving and cherishing one’s hometown, including creating knowledge of love and unity.
“The Ministry of Labour would like to thank the Bang Khun Thian District Office for providing the location to support the carrying out of activities, including the assignment of officials to lecture and provide knowledge about the conservation of the Bang Khun Thian mangrove forest. The executives, civil servants, officials of agencies under the Ministry of Labour, and volunteer workers in Bangkok who participated in the project participated in the activities to show loyalty and honor the monarchy by doing good deeds as royal merit. The efforts show the power of participation, social responsibility, good deeds, and sacrifices for society, which brings about cooperation with the consciousness of cherishing one’s homeland. It has strengthened knowledge about environmental conservation and provided opportunities for government officials and volunteer workers in Bangkok. It is a forum to meet, discuss, and exchange ideas to enhance the potential to drive the important missions of the Ministry of Labour to the people at the local level in the same direction and have activities to work together on to create unity and good relationships with each other,” said Mr. Decha.
