On February 20, 2022, at 15.00 hours, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, chaired a second progress review following the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General’s inspection plan for the 2022 fiscal year. The meeting took place with the Department of Employment’s Inspector-General, Mrs. Chalobol Kajonpadungkitti, the Department of Skill Development’s Inspector-General, head of government agencies, and officials from the Ministry of Labour in Trang. Provincial Labour Officer Mrs. Amornwan Chuangpetchinda presented the agency’s results. The meeting took place in the meeting room of the Trang Skills Development Office. The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General emphasized assistance and improvement to the quality of life for vulnerable groups in household work, whereby assigning the Provincial Labour Officer to organize activities that can improve skills for vulnerable groups to have a better quality of life. The initiative also includes actions on preventing and solving human trafficking in Thailand to move from the Tier 2 Watch List to Tier 1, following the Labour Minister’s policy. He also asked for cooperation from all departments to collaborate effectively and focus on the operation’s success.
Regarding the organization of proactive labour relations promotion projects, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General has recommended that the Provincial Labour Protection and Welfare Office set qualitative target groups to inspect establishments to foster good relations and understanding between employers and employees.
In this regard, the budget disbursement and government expenditure for the 2022 fiscal year ask that all departments disburse funds to meet the goals and comply with government regulations.
