MOL Meets on ‘Thailand Digital Young Talent Development’ Project for Digital Sector

          Today (January 31, 2019) at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Pol.Maj. Romayong Surakitbunharn to chair the meeting on the “Thailand Digital Young Talent Development” project, a collaboration between TOT Public Company Limited, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology, North Bangkok. The project aims to develop and produce manpower in Thailand’s digital industry, creating a new breed of high performing and potential graduates in the digital field for the industry, towards becoming an S-curve. This is an important mechanism to drive the country’s economy through new growth engines build a base to use as a guide for educational development and change the course of teaching by focusing on modifying the content and structure of the syllabus to create a learning experience that is practical. The project includes cooperation with companies and industries in the production of graduates and workforce, with the goal to produce new a breed of graduates in the digital sector, at the capacity to meet the needs of the manufacturing industry. The aim is to build 2,000 workers within 10 years (2019 – 2029), divided into 10 batches, each with 200 people per year. The meeting took place at the Tien Achakul Conference Room, 10th Floor, Department of Employment.
