It participates with all member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and works with organizations, governments, and social partners to achieve the objectives to strengthen the protection of the rights of migrant workers. It aims to enable migrant workers to participate and benefit from economic and social development, create a gender-responsive labour mobility system, and increase the efficiency of the Labour market. It is a two-phased operation with ten years (2015 -2025), which was later extended to 12 years (2015-2027).
