MOL Organizes “Jobs for Thailand 4.0: Food, Hotel and Tourism” in Siam Square on February 3

             On 3 February 2017 at 15.00, Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul will chair the event opening “Jobs for Thailand 4.0: Food, Hotel and Tourism Innovation” at Siam Square Soi 5. The Department of Employment has organized the event to prepare and align the workforce with the national 20-year strategies and government policy on driving the nation towards a Thailand 4.0. The event aims to promote the global Thai kitchen policy through civil state measures such as the Ministry of Education presenting curriculums in service and tourism, businesses presenting future labour trends and creation of employment opportunities, and employers/businesses partaking in recruitment activities on the day.
    The “Jobs for Thailand 4.0: Food, Hotel and Tourism Innovation” will take place on 3 February 2017 from 15.00 – 21.00 at Siam Square Soi 5. Activities will include meeting the workforce through wallet applications, a professional presentation on “The Future of Work”, a demonstration of freelance professions, and many tourism and services organizations to take job applications on the day. Companies include Bangkok Marriot Marquis Queen Park, Sofitel So Bangkok, Ambassador Bangkok, Central Restaurant Group and Ascott International. Attendees will gain insights on labour market demands, helping them prepare effectively. Products will also be on showcase to promote innovative thinking for value creation, with promotion of freelance professions for participants to choose to pursue. The event will host mny activities such as showcasing e-commerce products, delivery, smart startups, chef challenges and a bartending competition with prizes valued over 70,000 Baht.
    The Ministry of Labour invites the general public to join the event. Attendees stand to win a lucky draw prize of a gold necklace, simply by registering via QR code scan.
