MOL Organizes Workshop to Drive Labour Volunteer Work in Bangkok

          The Ministry of Labour organized a workshop to drive labour volunteer work in Bangkok, aiming to provide people in the area access to labour welfare, rights, and career promotion, increasing income and stability in life.
          On February 18, 2022, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mrs. Tongjai Suthat Na Ayutthaya, to preside over the commencement of the workshop to drive volunteer worker operations in Bangkok for the 2022 fiscal year. The workshop took place at the Grand Palazzo Conference Room, 7th floor, The Palazzo Hotel, Bangkok. She said that the Ministry of Labour hopes that people in the area have access to labour welfare rights, receive an occupational promotion to increase income, and have a stable guarantee of living. It has received cooperation from all Bangkok labour volunteers in operation and sharing information. Understanding the Ministry of Labour’s missions is important to perform the duties of a labour volunteer in Bangkok. Once everyone has gained knowledge and understanding today, they will be able to regulate and convey this to the Bangkok labour volunteers in their respective areas to be informed and implement operations in the same direction. Thus, they can truly meet the needs of the people in the area. In addition, the Ministry of Labour recognizes the importance of integration of agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Bangkok so that the responsible agencies of the labour volunteers missions use the knowledge of this seminar to develop operational planning and integrate labour missions to drive the work of Bangkok labour volunteers to fulfill the Ministry of Labour’s mission so that workers have a good quality of life and stability. Seminar participants will learn about the structure and the administration of labour volunteers in Bangkok, including operational guidelines for the 2022 fiscal year.
           The workshop to drive labour volunteers’ operations in Bangkok for 2022 has three main objectives: 1. To create knowledge and understanding of the Ministry of Labour’s missions among Bangkok labour volunteers to promote effective operations at the local level. 2. To create a meeting to exchange knowledge and cohesiveness between the Bangkok labour volunteers and staff of agencies under the Ministry of Labour at the local level. 3. To create a good relationship between the Bangkok labour volunteers and officials of agencies under the Ministry of Labour at the local level. There were 120 participants in the workshop.
