Mr. Pairoj continued that the h”Yellow Star” tree is the royal tree of King Rama X. It is classified as a medium-large tree, about 5 meters tall. It tolerates sunlight and likes to grow in dry or relatively dry places. The trunk is low-branched and has a rounded shape. Single leaves are arranged alternately, where the front of the leaves is green, and the back is a soft brown. “Yellow Star” flowers give off a sweet scent all day long and have a bright yellow color that looks outstanding. Flowers bloom in short bouquets along the leaf axils. The flower has a 5-pointed calyx, similar to a star, attached to the base of the petals and serving as a base for the stamen cluster. There are no petals. The flowers bloom for 7 to 10 days, from July to August, making it an auspicious tree in every region. Both government agencies, the private sector, and citizens joined together to plant the seedlings as a show of loyalty and gratefulness for His Majesty’s grace and to be presented as a royal merit to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024.
