On December 16, 2019, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Duangrit Benjathukul Chairungrueng presided over the commencement of the proactive workplace health promotion and disease prevention program in the “Healthy Insurers 2019” event. The occasion took place at Rohm Integrated Systems Thailand Co., Ltd., Navanakorn Industrial Estate, Pathum Thani.
Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Duangrit Benjathukul Chairungrueng gave a speech on the occasion of being president of the health promotion event. She said that Labour Minister M.R. Chatumongol Sonakul prioritizes all workers in the workplace to have good health, which is crucial and should be supported. The proactive workplace health promotion and disease prevention program today is a collaboration for creating a healthy society for the insured, as well as driving organizations and network partners to provide excellent health care for insurers to receive health checkups to look for diseases and risk factors from work and non-work-related diseases. Also, adjustments were made to the environment and workplace safety, which results in insurers having a better quality of life. It helps reduce costs of medical care and the number of leaves taken, including the rate of chronic illnesses that causes danger, disability, and death. The Ministry of Labour aims for creative development and a proactive health care system in all dimensions that will benefit the health of Thai workers, to have a good quality of life as essential production capacity, resulting in the country’s economy driven to sustained development.
