On November 23, 2021, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong chaired the Skill Development Promotion Committee Meeting No. 7/2021 at the Pakorn Angsusing Meeting Room, 10th Floor, Department of Skill Development. The meeting acknowledged the Skill Development Fund’s operations consisting of the results of the consideration and approval of grants or subsidies under the Skills Development Promotion Act, B.E. 2545, the lending and repayment of loans to the Skill Development Fund, and the promotion of enterprises’ labour skills development according to the Skills Development Promotion Act, B.E. 2545 and its amendments (No. 2), B.E. 2557.
In addition, they jointly considered the draft announcement of the Skill Development Promotion Committee on the validity of the certificate of competence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It also discussed the preparation of national skill standards in the service career fields, Muay Thai instructor branch, and the draft order of the Skill Development Promotion Committee on the appointment of a subcommittee on the establishment of national skill standards for the service career fields and Muay Thai instructor branch. It considered the revision of the Skill Development Promotion Board of Director’s order for technicians in electronics and computers, and electricians for meetings incentives conventions exhibitions (MICE) to assist business operators affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
