On December 24, 2018, at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark chaired the Skill Development Promotion Committee meeting 10/2018 at the Pakorn Angsusingh Conference Room on the 10th floor, Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour. The meeting had the following agendas to consider: 1) Approval of national labour standards and qualifications for industry technicians in metal arc welding by hand, level 1 – 3, and assessment methods for the national labour standards for industrial technicians in metal arc welding by hand, level 1 – 2) Approval of national labour standards and qualifications for level 1 – 3 and assessment methods for level 1 – 2, for construction professionals, installation technicians in semi-finished roof structure installations 3) Approval of national labour standards and qualifications of the test participants, along with assessment methods for labour standards and issuance of certificates to certify those who have passed the national skill standards assessment, in support of Thailand 4.0 in 8 branches. This included:
1. Industrial engineering, in mig-mag welding system operations with robotics;
2. Industrial engineering, in welding of resistance points control with robotics;
3. Industrial engineering, in welding systems control with robotics;
4. Industrial engineering, in industrial mechatronics and robotics;
5. Mechanical engineering, in electric vehicle maintenance;
6. Electrician of electronics and computers, in automated systems installation for precise agriculture;
7. Electrician of electronics and computers, in solar cell system installation;
8. Industrial agriculture, in processed food products design;
also, 4) Approval to establish national labour standards to support ten industries of the future for 2019, for example.
