MOL Visits and Monitors Import of First Batch of Foreign Workers Through MOU at Khlong Luek Immigration Checkpoint in Sa Kaeo

         On February 1, 2022, at 08.00 hours, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, Sa Kaeo Provincial Deputy Governor Mr. Nuttachai Nampoonsuksan, the Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, and heads of government agencies and officials under the Ministry of Labour, visited the area to inspect, supervise and advise officials permitting work for foreigners of Cambodian nationality to travel to work in Thailand. There were 186 people (the first batch) entering to work with employers in the country following the MOU under the COVID-19 situation by passing through Khlong Luek Immigration Checkpoint, Aranyaprathet District in Sa Kaeo Province. They also visited to monitor the orderliness of the quarantine facility at Suvarnabhumi Inter Health Med Co., Ltd., in Pa Rai Subdistrict, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province, to support foreign workers.

         Mr. Wannarat said that this visit to the area emphasized the establishment of legal foreign workers and provided advice on implementing public health measures to employers and migrant workers to create awareness and prevent virus outbreaks in the workplace. After completing seven days of quarantine, all 186 workers will work with Phanat Poultry Group Co., Ltd., in Mon Nang Subdistrict, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi.
