Today (October 20, 2020) at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the meeting to discuss the establishment of a working group on the management of migrant workers in the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Academic Labour Advisor Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai and related agencies attended the meeting at Prasong Rananant meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour building. The meeting discussed establishing a mechanism for a national consultation regarding Covid-19 with all parties to strengthen operations amid a crisis. The meeting further addressed issues about the residence and work permits, health management issues related to health, unclear workforce demand, and bilateral negotiations between recipient and sender countries.
