New Year’s party for IM Japan trainees in Tokyo

On February 3, Mr. Suchart  Sangurai, Counselor (Labour Affairs), and Mrs. Malee Wada, assistant  for employment promotion in overseas,  participated in 2013 New Year’s party, organised by the  IM Japan, under the supervision of Tokyo and the Kita Kanto Regional Office. The party was held at Tokyo’s Indonesian School and aimed at enabling trainees of the IM Japan in Tokyo and neighbouring prefectures to celebrate the New Year’s festival and also to learn their conditions of living and training.

 

1)      Kyoei Yanagisawa, President (CEO) of IM Japan, in his capacity as chairman of the party invited representatives of the Indonesian and Thai embassies to join. Besides that representatives of the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia participated. More than 400 Thai, Indonesian and Filipino trainees also joined the party.

 

2)      Mr. Yanagisawa gave an opening speech, urging the trainees to learn Japanese and save money while training in Japan so that they could start their own businesses after returning to their countries. He said he hoped everybody could have own businesses, build and strengthen national economy, and to help create networks in the near future before an implementation of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). He also said the networks would be beneficial to trainees who have completed the course.

 

3)      Indonesia’s director-general, Training and Productivity Development, Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, advisor to the ambassador and the counselor (Labour Affairs) respectively gave speeches. The counselor (Labour Affairs) expressed thanks to the IM Japan  for hosting the party for the trainees while the latter  should realise   they have earned a good opportunity in receiving training in Japan, learning Japanese culture and that they should seriously learn Japanese language  because it would benefit them when return to Thailand. He also asked the Thai trainees to help build networks with their foreign colleagues because they would be advantages before the AEC is lifted off the ground.

 

 

4)      Mr. Yanagisawa   presented certificates and prizes in cash to trainers who had won Japanese essay competition. A Thai trainee of Tohken Thermotech Co., Ltd. in Osaka who won the first runner-up prize was also present and received the prize.

 

5)      Entertainment of Japanese arts and music entertained the partygoers and received high interests from the trainees.
