NGO and Permanent Secretary Consult on Anti-Human Trafficking in Fishing

          Today (26 May 2017) at the Permanent Secretary of Labour’s office, M.L. Puntrik Smiti welcomed Mr. Donald J. Foley and Mrs. Louise Hilsen, advisor and director of Multi-stakeholder Initiative for Accountable Supply Chain of Thai Fisheries (MAST) from the United States, alongside the committee on Labour Rights Promotion Network (LPN). The meeting’s agenda included discussion on Pelagic Data Systems or ocean information systems to be installed in fishing vessels, to collect information to monitor and resolve human trafficking in Thailand’s fishing industry.
