On 25 August 2014, LCDR Wittawust Kuprasert, counselor (labour affairs) visited Miss Laiead Phanklang, Thai workers working as assistant housekeeper who has been sick fromCoronary artery disease and hospitalized at TunMhun Hospital. The doctor checked and recommended to get urgent operation due to plaque building up along the inner walls of arteries which narrows the arteries and reduces blood flow to the heart. The Office of Labour Affairs recommended Miss Laied to have medication in Hong Kong and contacted with social workers to ask for the whole expense. Later, she got operation and now stays at the hospital.
