According to the MOU signed between MOL and International Manpower Development Organiztion, Japan (IMM Japan) to send Thai trainees to train and learn technologies in Japan SMEs since 1999. There will be 1 batch a month selected by Department of Employment to be trained.
On 8 September 2011, Mrs. Chantana Boonraj, Minister Counsellor (labour) was invited by IMM Japan to attend the orientation in order to enlighten and recommend 33 trainees of the batch of 23-05 who went to be trained in Japan at training center of IMM Japan at Motoyawata, Chiba, Tokyo about work and living. Mrs. Metika Sattanusorn, Labour counselor and Mrs. Malee Wada, Assistant to overseas employment promotion attending the orientation report that
1. the orientation of trainees of IMM Japan is the activity continually held by Office of Labour Affairs in Japan with the aim to give trainees useful recommendations to apply with work and living. Importantly, in order to promote Office of Labour Affairs to be recognized as the representative authority of MOL to supervise Thai trainees throughout the training period
2. Minister Counsellor (labour) expressed his appreciation to the selected trainees. He said this project offered a good opportunity in terms of training in hi-tech company, learning Japanese style working and high return. He asked the trainees to pay attention to learn and practice Japanese language so as to be able to apply in the work for the sake of the country since those who passed the training in Japan are in demand of the labour market in Thailand. There are several companies in Thailand need to hire persons who have Japanese proficiency and know Japanese working style. He further added that the trainees should bear in mind that all are the representative of Thailand so that please pay attention in training, avoid making conflicts to employer and Japan society and stay away from alcohol and illegal persons also save money for the future. Any problems and enquiry regarding working and living, please ask for advice from supervisors of the company, IMM Japan officers and Office of Labour Affairs, they are willing to provide advice and assistance. Office of Labour Affairs will keep in monitoring and providing help to all trainees until the completion of the training program. The orientation atmosphere is filled with warmth.
