Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia receives Princess Bajrakitiyabha

On January 7, 2013, Princess Bajrakitiyabha of Thailand paid a visit to Malaysia to attend a conference at University of Malaya.
 
Princess Bajrakitiyabha, who was accompanied by assistance military attaches from the Royal Thai forces, was received by government officials, staffs from the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and Ministry of Justice’s officials upon her arrival in Kuala Lumpur before traveling to the university by a royal car.
 
The Thai princess delivered a speech under the title “Benefits and Application of the Bangkok Rules of Female Offenders” at the conference, during which her entourage also presented the achievements of “Bangkok Rules” to participants, which included Professor Tan Sri Dr.Ghauth jasmon: Vice Vice-Chancellor University of Malaya, Dr. Chusak Limsakul: President of Prince of Songkla University, teachers and students.
 
She then opened “Implementation of Bangkok Rules in Thailand” exhibition, aimed at raising the awareness of problems that occur to female inmates, the issue of which Thailand tries to advance its status as international norm, which can be apply domestically in a prison or during a judicial process.
 
After the conference, Princess Bajrakitiyabha visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, during which she was briefed by chief of the Thai team about the overall operation and issued of her interest. She then attended a dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Krit Kraichitti, Thai Ambassador to Malaysia.
 
The Thai princess arrived at VIP Bu-Nga Raya room at 10.30 p.m..
