On July 23, 2012, thirty officials from Office of Social Security, including Mrs. Ammorn Chaovalit, Advisor on Performance Efficiency, along with Mrs. Ratiwan Sunthra, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs), Ms. Pimpaporn Thitayanun, Counsellor (Labour Affairs), visited Linkou city to inspect on management of Chang Gung Health and Culture Village, a retirement village owned by Formosa Group, as part of their study trip.
On July 23, 2012, thirty officials from Office of Social Security, including Mrs. Ammorn Chaovalit, Advisor on Performance Efficiency, along with Mrs. Ratiwan Sunthra, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs), Ms. Pimpaporn Thitayanun, Counsellor (Labour Affairs), visited Linkou city to inspect on management of Chang Gung Health and Culture Village, a retirement village owned by Formosa Group, as part of their study trip.
There are two types of retirement homes at the village, namely Chang Gung Health and Culture Village, and Chang Gung Nursing Home, with a total area of 35 acres. The former is for old-age people who can look after themselves while the latter is for those who could not take care of themselves. Only persons aged 60 or over, who pass a health check, are allowed to register for the retirement village. A monthly rate for a single room is 18,000 TWD while a rate for a double room is 23,000 TWD. The villages offer its residents sport, recreation, and learning activities as well as food and health services. Currently, there are some 500 people living at the retirement village.
