คณะกรรมการการแรงงาน หรือ CLA ของไต้หวัน แถลงเพิ่มเติมว่า ต่อนี้ไปการประชุมคณะกรรมการพิจารณาค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำจะจัดการประชุมก็ต่อเมื่อดัชนีผู้บริโภคเพิ่มขึ้นเกินกว่าร้อยละ 3 เพื่อพิจารณาปรับขึ้นค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำสำหรับปีถัดไป

On 28 August 2013, Minimum Wage Hike Committee called a meeting to consider annual minimum wage hike. The committee with the authority to decide on changes raised the minimum monthly wage to NT$19,273 from the present NT$19,047 The minimum wage will be rise by NT$226 a month or 1.19% though workers will have to wait until July 1, 2014 for the measure to take effect. It anticipates that there would be 1.76 million workers benefits from minimum wage hike dividing into 1.52 local workers and 240,000 industrial workers. The government shall pay for the increase at approximatly NT$ 3,700million a year. The minimum hourly wages will rise to NT$115 from NT$109 next January.
Council of Labour Affairs further said that the meeting of the committee would be held when the consumer index raised up over 3% in order to consider minimum wage hike in the next year.
