On 10 April 2011, Mrs. Kanchana Wongsuwan, Minister Counsellor (labour) in collaboration with Thai Labour Fellowship in Singapore, labour volunteers, and student society of Sukhothai Thamathirat Open University in Singapore arranged water-pouring ceremony to ask blessing from H.E. Mr. Nopadon Gunavibool, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Singapore.
In this regard, Mr. Alongkorn Ponlaboot, Deputy Minister of Commerce delivered an opening speech for the Songkran Festival held on 17 April 2011 at Ananmetyaram Temple. There were water-pouring ceremony and Songkran beauty contest.
